The sons and daughters profiled here are the incredible legacy of the Indian matriarchs at the heart of the Monsoon Memories project.  They are the success story of Asian immigration  – a generation on, making waves, making money, changing perspectives and leading the way in so many fields. Their mothers were the pioneer immigrants whose stories and contributions to the UK economy and culture remain undocumented, but will be explored for the first time in our landmark exhibition at the British Library (dates tbc).
