PJ Harvey

PJ Harvey grew up on a sheep-farm. From a very early age she developed an interest in music and studied saxophone for about eight years. At seventeen she began writing her own songs, which by her own account were “crap”. She studied sculpture at Central Saint Martins but kept at her music and is now a successful alternative rock artist, having won seven Brit awards and a prestigious Mercury Prize.
