Jarvis Cocker
Jarvis formed his first band at school and turned down the chance to study English Literature in order to concentrate on music. He spent the next five years on the dole then enrolled on a film course at Central St. Martin’s where he assembled the Pulp line-up. In 1995, Pulp released ‘Common People’ as a single and the band finally achieved megastar status in the U.K. The Mercury Music Prize winning album, ‘Different Class’ followed.
